About Tammy Wise

Tammy Wise is a professional dancer.  She is a widely respected fitness expert and practitioner of holistic healing.  She is the founder and creator of BodyLogos Inc. a Mind-Body Fitness, Wellness and Beauty Company.  She is an Avatar Master and a Tao Minister.

“To sculpt the body, one is obliged to train the mind,” she says. “The mind and body are inseparable, although not always in unison. The integration of the body, mind and spirit is a celebration of the self.”

Tammy began her unique understanding of the mind-body connection while dancing in A Chorus Line on the Broadway stage in 1981. Her interest in the mind-body connection directed her attention toward fitness, the healing arts, philosophy and the study of consciousness. In 1995 she was ordained a Tao Minister and her thesis, the BodyLogos® movement, was launched.

BodyLogos® brings the ancient Tao concept of Active Meditation into modern-day practice. Tammy’s dance background coupled with multiple certifications in Fitness Training led her to the development of Tao of Fitness. In 2004 she released her mind-body fitness video,The Tao of Strength Training. In 2007, utilizing her herbology and cosmetology licenses, Tammy expanded the BodyLogos® movement developing a natural beauty line, WISEBEAUTY™ – Active Beauty.

 

Tammy complements her teaching of BodyLogos Tao of Fitness with a private wellness practice in the traditional Taoist healing arts and assists Star’s Edge Trainers in presenting personal-development Avatar courses. The alignment of mind and body is Tammy’s central focus. Active meditation is her method. BodyLogos is her movement.
